This weekend marks the official opening of Ulgedook Cottage for 2012.
We ventured to East Port Medway on Good Friday with a long list of tasks to open the cottage, and really only accomplished a quick dusting, sweeping, water hook-up, and make the bed (including the new electric blanket... a Christmas present from my mom). We did sufficient work to make the place liveable, and will tackle other chores at a later date.
A snapshot for the remainder of our stay...
-dined Friday evening as the only two patrons in Captain Barss Pub at Lane's Privateer Inn,
-slept-in Saturday morning,
-Susan had her “first offical tea break of the cottage season,” and was pleased that it was warm enough to sit outside,
-enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast, and engaging conversation with the Leefe’s (no, not the hockey team), at Transcotia Motel,
-went shopping in Liverpool to support the First Saturdays in Queens County project (a monthly collaboration of downtown businesses to create a fun shopping experience), and
-returned to Ulgedook with our purchases, and then departed for home before the arrival of snow (yes… snow).
We will return soon.
