Savour the rustic charm of wood floors, wainscotting, and 18 foot high ceiling complete with tin panels. Bask in natural light filtered and coloured in rich hues by massive panes of stained glass. Delight in the tranquility offered by rural charm and surrounding woodlands; disturbed only by occasional campanology.
98 East Port Loop Road, East Port Medway. Located midway between Bridgewater and Liverpool. From Highway 103, turn east at Exit 17 onto Highway 331 and travel 5.5km to East Port Medway. Turn right onto East Port Loop Road; proceed 400m to Ulgedook Cottage (look for the steeple).
Today is a sad day, as a favorite get-away burned to the ground. The main lodge at the historic White Point Beach Resort was destroyed that apparently started in the kitchen. Over 60 firefighters from ten fire departments fought the blaze, but only the stone chimney stood after all the fire was extinquished. The following pictures were scooped from someone's facebook page.
